It's time for wine at The Cinnamon Club on 27th September with another Wine & Spice Dinner. This time round, oenophiles can enjoy a delectable five-course supper prepared by head chef Rakesh Ravindran — each paired with a wine from the Brokenwood winery in Australia's Hunter Valley. Highlights include: tandoori rabbit leg with garlic and coriander paired with Semillon, ILR Reserve, 2006; smoked saddle of Romney Mash lamb with rich onion sauce matched to Shiraz, 2009; and roast rump of Cumbrian wild red deer with sesame tamarind sauce paired with Shirza, Graveyard Vineyard, 2009. Iain Riggs, part-owner and chief winemaker at Brokenwood, will also be on hand to talk through each wine and pairing — and to answer any questions you may have between sips. And with everything served up in the elegant private dining room, it's the perfect evening for a special occasion — preferably, with that special someone.
